Subject: Kyle Park

For a year now, I have been in the process of designing a new theme park for Youngstown. This is going to be the first theme park based on a community. This new proposed park is called: "Keeping Youngstown Living Exciting", or KYLE Park. Kyle Park is divided into five different themed lands that represent the past, present, and future of Youngstown and the Mahoning Valley. One of the lands is devoted especially to our beloved Idora Park called "Lost Idora." I have a display at the Austintown Public Library explaining Kyle Park. Kyle Park will be on display at the library until March 31st. I strongly encourage evryone to stop in and take a look at the display. If anyone has any questions or comments about this new park concept, e-mail your response at J.Kylepark@juno.com

Kyle Park is my life long dream and economic improvement plan for Youngstown!

Thank you,

Jason Kyle

hi jason,
i think your ideas are very commendable and its nice to see so many people that care. i have very special memories of idora too; but from what i read in the paper this week the church intends on continuing with their plans for a church complex at idora. they are responsible for cleaning up the ballroom mess too. they did say that if an individual wanted to dismantle the remaining coasters and take them out of the park; they would be allowed as long as they were insured and did the work themselves. problem is who has the money to do that, even if they wanted to? i really cant see idora park or any park opening in that area.
youngstown is a depressed area and there are too many other big parks around ohio for people to go to. also conneaut park said they cant take the jack rabbit because they have enough rides already. i wish we could bring it back too; but its not likely.
as a matter of fact my husband and i drove down there from cortland to check things out and we were shocked how bad things look. so sad and deserted. it almost made me feel worse. we werent allowed way into the park but we did drive by the wildcat and actually stopped and walked up to the ballroom remains and the jack rabbit (near the parking lot). the jack rabbit is fairly good considering, but of course the wildcat is really bad. keep up your good thoughts and your good work. i think its wonderful. we should always have hope. take care. christy

Hey Jason, Have you shared your ideas with any of the local press, I'm sorry I missed your display, I live in Austintown, and sad to say but I didn't see it!I would like to see a picture. Here's a suggestion, get the Word Out, Contact local, print, video, and radio press. Even if it's just an Idea it sound like a great story. Let me know about any updates, and possibly help down the road.

Nick

If your RESUME, CURRICULUM VITAE, RIDE or ATTRACTION is not listed with A Basic Service, how on earth will we know that you are available for one of our project teams? Interested in our consortia? Add your curriculum vitae, resume to our network. When a project is scheduled, we will review the list of members and build a project team. We will inform you of the project, if you agree, we will sub-contract your services, i.e. senior project manager, secretary, mechanic, art director, writer, landscape architect, golf course designer, entertainer, showman, artist, architect, economist, consultant, engineer, theme park designer, etc. If you have invented a ride or attraction or if you manufacture equipment, rides or attractions, we will display and market your product.
