Subject: The teen winner is beautiful. Miss.....I don't know. She has good coloring but her face isn't that great to me. Disproportionate, and her hips look big in that gown (which is way too short by the way). She could pull off an exotic, Alaska TUSA look, but it would take some work. I can't make any definite statements until closer to the pageant. Subject Author Date Thanks for posting for the pictures, honey. And you're right, the teen is absolutely gorgeous. Is it me, or does the back of Molly's gown seem longer than the front? Maybe it's not too short, maybe it's some freaky new hemline I'm not aware of that's designed to show off a girl's footware (or prevent oafish leadfoots like Miss Kimmy from tripping over their gown). You also hit the nail on the head with the "exotic" tag. I liked Helen Pollack initially, but the more I looked at Molly, the more I liked her. The year I won, my teen and I both won the EG award; her in a $15 dress and me in a borrowed one. Alita Dawson was also happy to let people know that her dress at nationals was a steal from a dept store. It's supposed to have a train in the back. I hate it when girls don't get their gowns altered to fit. She should have done something, ANYTHING to make that gown long enough. Even adding extra material at the bottom would be better than this. It makes the whole silhouette look chopped when the gown is short. Ideally, the hem is supposed to just touch the tops of your shoes. Either way, lots of potential in this year's winner. Messy hair though.
