So, when the players are ranked they are ranked on ability, potential, etc. Second, unfortunately the players are not all getting the message of taking school work serious until late in their recruiting stage (senior year in most cases). The damage has already been done (academically). It makes no sense to totally blame the high school setting, when it starts in the grammar schools some of the kids are going to. Third, there is nothing wrong with going to a JUCO first and then moving on. What happened to pulling yourself up, like when you make a comeback in basketball. Fourth, as a point, does that mean that all the guys who play basketball and are qualifiers but do not get D1 scholies are not good players?? Were they overrated? There is no proof that scoring a touchdown or dunking a basketball or hitting a towering home run has any correlation with academics!!!
