What's also interesting is the only 2 other players from the 20+ private schools signed early (actually maybe only 1 - Clair/Leo). Things like this do go in cycles - but considering that hoops by far is the predominant sport in Chicago, it seems there should be far more players going D1 than such a low #. Some on this thread blame the parents for being lax, or students for laging off until sr. yr. But I've seen the inside of CPS as a student and parent and seen suburban school systems as both - and I say it's the system. There must make more effort to cerate true student/athletes.
