It looks like UNC & Zona are close to getting other pg committments which could make IL the favorite for SL by default (Domino Effect).

SL has close friends on the IL team and he grew up following the Illini (not Duke). The fact that coach K couldn't persuade SL to commit on his official is big (most players find it hard to turn down coach K).

SL also knows he needs to wait at least a year or 2 to get stronger for the NBA. So I'd say all that leaves Weber looking pretty good.

With SP & SL in the fold, Bruce & Whane should be able to lock up the state's top talent for 05. They can say if the top guys from 04 chose IL as the best place for them, then why not you too!
