was gonna let this go, but I see there are still some iddiotic hatin ass fools out there who don't know crap about the BS they the scribble here...

First of all - no one is "filling SP's head w/NBA dreams". SL is the only ILL player intertaining those thoughts right now and many question that. To speak of a player's potential of making the league has absolutely nothing to do w/suposedly giving that player bad advice. The people on this site that support SP have said nothing about him being a "lottery pick" in 2008 - rather they said he has the potential to follow a similar course as B.Cook - maybe a little higher if he works harder than Cook did. And what the hell makes you think that anyone who writes their opinion on this site has the inside track to "getting in a players head" or being his "advisor". Last I checked this is a public site that any ass including you haters can post to.

Last I heard SP was making his GPA, having a good sr. year in hs and preparing for college his priorities - not day dreaming about the nba as some of you might presume. He's working out regularly w/a strength trainer, gaining weight so he can be prepared to bang in the B10 and taking classes that will prepare him for a serious major at one of the nation's top academic universities (no mention of nba huh).

SP and his family know that a solid 4 yr career in the B10 should land him a solid degree that he can use for the rest of his life, some great experiences as a student athlete at a high major D1 program and potentially an opportunity to play professionally - that's it - no hoop dreams there homie - just a very realistic view of the next 4 years and a strong desire to be prepared for where that road leads. so don't get it twisted haters - SP is well grounded in reality.

For those of you who try to say he was a "3rd or 4th option" at schools like Zona, MSU, M-quette, etc. - again you're dead wrong. SP had his choice of at least a dozen top 50 programs. Even #1 Uconn was definitely interested. SP could have committed to any top school that was recruiting him as early as last spring. But he chose to wait, take some visits and make some decisions that he felt the most comfortable with, eliminate some schools until he came down to a HIS final 2.

Anyone who really knows college recruiting knows SP took a very wise, well informed approach to making HIS decision - not anyone else's. Anyone who really knows anything about SP's recruiting - not just haters talking BS - it was very clear that SP was the TOP priority for Izzo and top 5 MSU and obviously ILL and several other top programs. Don't get it wrong, SP had his pick of schollies.

Now he must work toward making the best of his college decision. To those of you who say he'll be the 13th man at ILL - that's your iddiotic opinion. Those of us who really know SP - his character, his work ethic, his determination, his guts - we know he will be just fine and develop into a solid B10 player and hopfully beyond.
