You also have to remember that some of these kids play sports because they have to, or they feel they should because they are good at it. It may be there ticket to school, a better life, whatever. The love for the game might not be that strong when you feel obligated to it. It's easier to love and participate in sports when you're not pressured to do so. When all you do is play ball, or all you THINK or are told to do is play ball, it can be a strain.
