you might be right at colleg scouts not looking at state rankings and just national, but i think that should change. take for example michael thompson. he was a mcdonalds all american, but sum people felt he was 3rd team all state, at best. now he is riding big bench at duke. i dont think he played in 1 game last year. he was ranked purely off potential because he did nothing at providence. sumtimes potential rankings and national rankings can get u a scholarship, but it might not get u in the game.
