Some Sad News & Happy New Year

My dear family.... I may not be around very much for a few days or a couple of weeks... My father is not doing too well and they have moved him to a hospice care today. As some of you know, he had a stroke about 3-1/2 years ago, but about 3 weeks ago he had a strong TIA (mini-stroke) and was taken to the hospital. Apparently before they moved him to a rehab hospital he had another stroke and is paralzied on his left side. Thursday before Christmas they placed a tube in his stomach as he kept choking on food and drinks. He has not been responding to any therapy so yesterday they sent him back to the hospital. Today they moved him to hospice care because he now has pneumonia and isn't expected to live. My dad is 81 years old and he has lived a very happy and prosperous life. No matter how hard you try, you are never really prepared for the loss of your loved one and I'm doing okay so don't worry, just having some tough times right now. I will be back soon and occasionally online.
