."You think I kissed her?" Was all he could mumble below his breath... God, did she really think he was that low? Geeze... In some ways, it made him angry to think that she saw him like that, and in some other ways -- it felt as though he was takin' an arrow smack-dab in his heart. It was as if his body had turned to stone and he was unable to make any sort of movement, or emit any type of sound, as she hauled herself away from him. Yeah... He felt helpless and imobile as she left him standing with nothing but his thoughts, although that didn't last too long. The 'stone statue' feeling seemed to slowly lift from his skin at the soft "swoosh" the door made as it came to a quiet close, and the dark light outside swallowed Erica's petit figure. He wasn't about to let her wander the streets alone at night, or let her jus' cry without a shoulder to cry on, he cared too much to let either of those things go over. Swiftly, his legs regained the ability to move, and he pulled himself forward with a quick walk that led him over the same path she had jus' tred 'pon. He was moving quickly, but then again -- so was she, and it was quite the struggling to catch up with her... and he never fully did, despite his efforts. Trailing 'bout a meter behind her, he started shouting his words towards her -- hoping she'd hear them and know that he was speaking the truth... "Do you really think I'd do that to you!? Really!?" His brow furrowed deeply as his voice came quicker -- with more heat in it's tone, "Well, I wouldn't! Alright!? I wouldn't!" Slowly, he voice edged to a halt for a few still moments as he continued a speeded walk after her, "Why would I ever do something like that to the only person I've ever loved!? If you think I'm responsible for what you saw, then you better have an answer to the question I jus' asked you..." Defeated, he stopped in his tracks, "I wouldn't do that... You don't know me, if you think I ever would..." Both large hands were placed on either of his knees and he bent over a bit to catch his breath and simply stare at the cold, frosted pavement. It was all up to her know...
