By the time her conversation with Eddie was wrapping up, he was pretty sure that he might be right about his suspicions, so she when finally looked back to him - he smiled quietly, almost reassuringly. He pulled her closer to him and reached down to lift her legs up - so that they were across his lap and his arm around her shoulders held her close still as he leaned down to kiss her lips, softly at first, and then a little more firmly, but still so sweetly.
