Subject: The party's over and you're moving on...
In reply to: Lucas Laurence 's message, "
Fallin’ asleep at the wheel again baby
You’re driftin’ over the line
You’re hands are tight but you’re losin’ grip quickly
Fix me
Can you read the signs?

It wasn't Lucas that the other man had to worry about for once - it was like he was over it, had given up completely. He was ready to admit defeat - he had pushed and pushed and pushed and finally she just quit pushing back. Shaking his head a little, he popped a pack of smokes from the pockets of jeans and lit one up on his way outside - not caring about no-smoking-inside regulations. What were they going to do? Kick him out of the club that he had bought? He was on his way out anyway. Cameron stood there dumbly for a long moment - completely puzzled and thrown off by Lucas' reaction. It was much more Lucas' style to jump the other guy and start throwing punches. Triggered by anger at how both of his friends - Lucas and Jasmine - were handling something as delicate and sacred as their marriage, he grumbled to himself and weaved through the crowd over to where Jimmy was at the bar. "You know your left hand from your right?"

  • He rolled his eyes, turning with a beer in one hand and a rum and coke - Jas's usual - in the other, his eyes moving upwards towards Cam's eyes. "Yes, and I also know that there's a girl up in the office that is having her heart broken by your dickhead of a boss and I would appreciate if you would move so I can go take her the drink she requested." He shifted to step past Cam, briefly contemplating how he was surprised that it was Cam and not Luc - he'd never really had a problem with Cam in all the years that they had worked in the same establishment.
