The ABNOBIANS of Tomintoul, Scotland, thought themselves safe from all the dangers of the word- if only they lived by the will of their Goddess, Abnoba. She alone could bring them plentiful game to hunt and make women fertile enough to produce strong, healthy, children.

They worshipped Abnoba alone, and lived in harmony with all the creatures of their lush forests and meadows ... their only fear being the nearby CLAN LIATH MORE, a group of gray-skinned and extrordinarily hairy men and women that lived in THE MOUNTAINS OF MORE. Life was pleasant for the Abnobians... Until the GREAT TEAR.

All the WORLD had compounded, so that four societies- all from very different social structures- had suddenly become neighbors.
