Subject: she had finally convinced herself that she really needed to eat, so she turned to the vending machine that stood in the waiting room just beyond the ICU. She gave the machine her dollar only to have her chosen snack get stuck. That on top of everything else, she shook the machine roughly, cursing at it angrily under her breath, finally giving up, she locked her arms and rested against the machine, her head lowered, things were going to hell and back
