• The various tubes and machines that surrounded her weren't what was the most frightening, it was the look in her brother's eyes. She knew that her time was coming, she could feel it through her whole body, but she wasn't scared for herself. She was scared for Talon. Her fingers squeezed his weakly, but it was quite obvious that the cancer eating away at her had sapped the majority of her strength, using it mainly to stay alive at this point.
