She was in quite a panic; tears streaming down her face; they'd gotten there as soon as she'd turned away from the front desk. They wouldn't even let her see him. She tucked herself in a corner of the room away from everyone else and with shaky fingers, dialed K's number, attempting to regain her composure as she held the cell to her ear; heart seized with the fear that he might not be there.
