Dial is snapped back, orbs showing deep surprise, ebony mane being thrown about his sturdy neck. "I.. I did not mean that." He sighs deeply, letting his head lower, knowing he was once more loosing hope. "I was afraid to come back here... I thought I would find you living happily in another herd, that you had forgotten me. But seeing you homeless might be worse. I never meant to harm you." He shakes his head, closing his eyes, know how shallow his words sounded. "After everything I've been through... you'd think I'd be smart enough not to leave..." His volume lessened as he spoke the final words, his muscles tensing for seemingly no reason. A slight distance off, his family stands, with their backs to the pair, letting them have their moment, letting them attempt to re-piece their lives.
