*Moaning quietly, hooves slamming with broken force into the soft ground below him, he chokes heavily, hauling for air through the flow of steady blood leaking from his chapped lips. Dark eyes pinching shut, realizing his opponent was defeated, he shudders quietly, pain tearing through him with no end. He and the golden mare had won the battle... but where had the filly gone? He had caught sight of a colt helping her eariler... perhaps he was with her now. Sinking quietly to the ground, resting in a pool of blood, his exhales slowly, watching the ripples of thick crimson trickle from his breath before him....*
