I explained to my daughter that she has this gift because God uses those that do have it for prayer. She doesnt have to understand the premonition, she just has to pray. God shows some things, in order to come together for prayer. Recently my daughter had a very scary one happen. She was schedule to fly to Japan. her flight was from fl. to ny to wash.dc. she had a strong premo. that the plane was going to crash from ny to wash. long story short, we gathered at 1:30am reading psalm 91 and praying together. God showed all of us that He was in control now and gave us peace. to end of story...the flight from ny to washington was cancelled and she flew straight to japan from ny. God showed us how He works. I am sure there were others praying that night and did not understand and may never know exactly what the details were or outcome. All those need to know is that they have a job to do: pray when God shows them. I think it would be cool for them to keep a journal. hope this helps :) (she first came to me with this gift about age 6. she is now 14).
