David, you don't know me, but I got to shake your hand years ago at a show in Muskogee Ok. A friend of mine,Sherry Forget was running with the band at the time. It was before showtime and you were sitting in your sales booth, you looked fairly trashed out and I couldn't help but wonder how you could put on a show. Easy, you kicked ass, started with Dakota The Dancing Bear if I remember right. I spent the major portion of my misspent youth and adult life being one of your biggest fans. First album I bought was Human Emotions, got about twenty more since then. The first show I saw you at was at Poteau Ok and you had a broke arm. Fights were everywhere that night and I'll be damned if you didn't fire a starter pistol over the crowd. They barely noticed, but I was grabbing some floor regardless...LOL.
Times and people change and I somehow lost track of you in the late eighties and nineties. By chance, I came across your website a while back and damned if it didn't bring back some fond memories. I also got to see you on "Going to California" the other night on Showtime. You're still the man. I am on day five of my wife walking out, I have twenty DAC albums that I can't play anymore so here I am going through your lyrics, it's the next best thing. Guess I'll have to break down and buy a cd or two...LOL.
Take care,
DH
