Hello there readers,
As you will see B8a's debute is complete, despite delays of trying to sort my life out! I've had positive response from the users of the Anim8or forums (thanks guys). This was great, as it has given me a much needed boost for my creative juices.

Also, I'm buying my camcorder very soon. So expect better videos to come before too long.

I've been asked what I'm doing next, so here's some hints at what's to come (not necessarily in this order)

  • Expect at least one other sabre video. I want to see if filming at a higher frame rate will help me get better results.
  • 3D animation with the character moving between elements of real scenery.
  • Interaction between actors and CGI characters.
  • Motion matching/tracking of a real and a virtual camera.
  • Some more adventurous 3D modelling and texture mapping than I've done so far.
  • I will attempt to replace my living room with virtual backgrounds, maybe even do a location shoot.

Watch this space for what I come up with. As always, feel free to leave comments/suggestions about what I'm doing.

See you in cyberspace,
David.
