This is a little bit of a strategy for D1, although this isn't for fighting, this is for finding good items. You know how everyone finds more gold than they know what to do with? Well, next time you play, save all of it. When you're in Hell, pick up everything that's unidentified and can be sold off for good cash. Here's the thing... When you buy something from Griswold off his "Premium Items" list, he always replaces what you bought with something else. So, what you should do is take all of your extra gold that goes to waste otherwise and just keep buying the cheapest item on the list until he replaces it with something good. Of course, it's not guaranteed that you're gonna find something great every game, but it's worked for me so far and I've only been doing it for two games. Now, if you need something a bit out of Griswold's league then buy whatever Wirt's selling and then go down and fight and when you return, he'll have something else. It's not as expensive as it sounds either, because you can just sell everything you don't want right back to Griswold, though not for near what you bought it for, hehe. I'm sure I'm not the first person to think of this, but I hope it comes in handy for whoever uses it. I'd been looking for an Obsidian Large Shield since I don't remember when for my Sorceror, and I just bought a Jade one using this strategy... Sure, it's not Obsidian, but it's close. =)
