Subject: What Camelot meant...and still means...to me...

Camelot.

When most people think about the word Camelot, they think of King Arthur, Percival, Lancelot, Merlin... knights in shining armor and omnipotent wizards.

When I think of Camelot...I see.... I see my friends. I see Kain teaching me "snagglish", Neo telling me how to set up a Zerg defense, Solar dying in UO (hehe), Duk screaming "FIREBALL", and Asd screaming. I see Lethal and Mist, taking off into yet another Diablo 2 game. I see Aragorn, taking care of... well...everything. I see Asdrubael, training Loki and Tianna, and I see Agarring and me with 5 minute lag. I see Flight handling it, and I see Sorcalisk talking smack about peasants. I see Chaos, telling me to spell his name right ;) I see Hellraiser, roaming around hell in D1, taking names and kicking butt. I see Mazer, taking care of his pride and joy, Cambot, and I see Nemesis helping me yet again on a current project, and I see Merl thinking he's all that (which he is, just don't let him know). I see Fratio telling me to "watch it, brotha!". I see Azn, helping with IR, and I see VDC, with his treasure hunting habits :)

When I see Camelot...I see community. I see a group of people, who have come together because of something they all enjoy and have in common. The legit gaming of Diablo, and Diablo 2. I also see people of many different religious beliefs, races, and sex.

Camelot was never about who was the best...Camelot has always been about helping eachother out... and in the end, you get rewarded by seeing the person you helped do better, to become the best they could be.

When I joined Camelot, I could only see many, many people I did not know...many many people I thought would never like or accept my ideas. I saw people who were very good legit players... and whom had good hearts. I knew this was the place for me...and I know it will always be.

When the newest MMORPG has lost it's shine, you can always come back to it, look up some old friends, and get together for a game or ten of Diablo, Diablo 2, Starcraft/Broodwar...

That is what makes Camelot great...it will always be there for you to come home to. It is said that, "You can never come home again." I truly hope...that no matter what, I can always come home again to Camelot...

Semper Fi,
War
