This reminds me of how it was some weeks after I joined Camelot, about six years ago. Most of the members of old Camelot (the really old one) had become inactive or left because of conflicting ideas of leadership. There were some that were fairly new to the guild and decided to take over, make a new webpage with clear rules and structure, to rebuild and to lead. Those were Prevalon, Baalzamon and me. Prevalon did most of the work, I did most of the gaming *blink*.
We were around for about three years and the guild was rather big back then. Ive followed the progress of the guild after that, and I have my own ideas about what went wrong. And I have clear ideas of what leadership means, what qualities would be required to offer stability, and so on. And I know what leadership brings in the form of duties and pain when things get out of hand.

Its not my place to give my ideas about anything now. Ive done my part (even though a long time since). I hope to see a new beginning, a new Camelot with even completely new rules and structure. A new webpage, new members. And I want to see leaders rising to take it forward.

Make a better job than those before you. And try to have fun doing it.
