Well, we had a terrific turnout at the meeting today. If you haven't read Solar's post, or didn't know what he is talking about, let me explain :)
The majority of the active members were in attendance, so Lamethu held a couple of votes. The clean slate proposal that was posted on the board earlier was discussed, voted on, and unanimously accepted as the plan for restoring Camelot.
The second vote was for the organizer of the project, a temporary position held until the project is completed. I was elected for that position.
This is going to take some time, Lamethu set a goal of 6 months. I think we can do it faster than that, but we'll see :)
Here is what I envisioned the role of the organizer as being. The organizer would open a discussion on a specific topic. Then the guild would discuss it for an appropriate amount of time, and the organizer would call for a vote if required. For instance, the organizer would open discussion on what type of flowers members should pick. The guild could all discuss their ideas, until one was unanimously accepted, or the organizer called for the members to vote on a specific flower to pick.
This way, topics could be presented in a controlled order, so that we all don't get sidetracked on separate ideas. This would also prevent the project from stalling, a common problem in the past.
Once we have everything planned out, we can begin the hard part, actually doing all the work.
Does this sound acceptable?
