I find what you wrote familiar on most points. Your first three topics (Ranks, Awards, Jobs) and the way you suggest to handle them is exactly how it was designed to work initially. I see no change in that from what Ive known since my time.
If those three topics are a suggested change to things, then perhaps things havent been as they once were for the main part of your membership - thats sort of sad since it tells about leadership and guild structure that have detached itself from the original basics.

That might be true for the rules also, although three years ago all rules had good purposes. Guild rules are always tricky to agree upon, create and verbalize. But they shouldnt be few and simple just for the sake of it. They should reflect the spirit of the guild and in themselves simplify membership relations. They exist to make things easier, not the opposite.

Webpage design and members proficiency in that area have changed over the years. Content outweigh Design anytime though, in my opinion. A webpage should be fast and easy to navigate, filling its purpose just like rules.

Neo was around in the good old days, and I trust him to make the guild changes in the name of quality gaming while being true to the original spirit of the guild.

Keep the playing fun.
