I just realized that Nemesis never posted this on the main forum after it was finished. Not his fault, seeing how busy the guy's been, hehe.
Mkay, before I get going on this, here are a few things to note:
Firstly, we interviewed 20 people, ranking from KoRT to Initiate.
Secondly, those who took the time to get an interview, we thank you. We also would like to thank the people who sent in their survey via email.
Lastly, I would like to mention this because a few people have been complaining to me. If we did not get around to you for this survey, we are sorry. However, since we did also give the option of emailing it to us, and extended the deadline for emailing the surveys to us by a week, we (well, I cannot speak for Nemesis here, so I) feel that it is nobody's fault but your own for not emailing it to us. We posted a week in advance of the deadline, then gave an extra week, and posted that too.
Anyways, here are the (edited) results from the survey...
- People generally like the companionship about Camelot. Not surprising, since that's the most commonly cited reason for joining.
- There's a strong movement for multi-game support in Camelot. The one mentioned most often is Starcraft, but Ultima Online and Planetarion were also mentioned.
- Initiate Representatives and Security Council both served their purposes, but there would be little point in resurrecting them. (Note from War: Thank gawd :)
- The biggest pet peeve of Camelot is inactivity, especially among Knights. Knights need to become more visible within the community.
- The most common way of finding Camelot is through search engines, followed by reference from friends.
- There is no preference between gatherings and tournaments for most guild members. Those who do have a preference are pretty evenly split, with a slight trend towards tournaments.
- There was a slight movement towards simplifying the ranking system.
- There weren't any changes to the rules mentioned.
- We tend to get along; very few people remember having any arguments.
- Most people are just here to play games, and take a "que sera, sera" attitude towards leadership.
Allrighty...there you go, in case you were interested. I beleive special praise should be given to Nemesis for actually compiling the report. I had just left Camelot so I did not do any of the actual compiling, allthough I did set up alot of the interviews and the actual Survey.
Mkays...I think that's all. Except for the fact that I'm still trying to figure out what "que sera, sera" means. Maybe "What happens, happens" *shrugs* ;) But I'll just bug Nem about that.
Semper Fi,
War
