Opinionated, pridefull, itchy trigger finger, America has been wounded.
Finding a path to redemption of evil,
she cries two tears as her children are left alone,
she cries an ocean as her sons go off to war.
Find me a ticket to a new place, America.
Buy me a ticket on an airliner bound for peace and nonviolence.
Find me a flower filled with the dying breaths of thousands,
Find me a Gun without a deadly bullet,
aimed at a source we cannot understand.
We refuse to understand.
Opinionated, prideful, itchy trigger fingered, America faces her choice.
Will she choose the guantlet or the quill?
Finding that path of her childrens bloody will,
Crying a tear, her only, final plea,
Peace, please peace.
Please excuse my "rant" if you will... I tried hard to respond with a something like "my thoughts/prayers go out...", but couldn't stop myself from silly poetry.
Please everyone, be thankfull for what is left, and if you pray, pray for the decision against an angry retort against a nation that had so little control over the actions of a few crazed men.
