Like that one part where he sings "With you" in Act II at the end of his confession to Ellen...ugh.

Ugh. Tell me about it. I'm sure he'd be good in another role, but I just don't see Chris summoning dogs with his voice.

Whatever you do, don't ask him to belt out "Why God Why" for you....unless I'm there to hear it too. ;)

Will do. In fact, next time we see Chip, we'll tell him he has to do the whole musical for us. You, being the singer, can do all the girl parts. I'm looking forward to the Kim/Ellen duet with yourself.

Me too...then again, maybe because I played the part. No amount of therapy will efface those colours from my memory.

Ruby and olive and violet and fawn and lilac and gold and chocolate and mauve and....

Yeah, generally the colours are something you'd want to have down for the role of the narrator. I could just see you trying to improvise *that*...

"Um.... cement and cherry and bluish and dave and juniper, melted and smelly and dawn and..."

I've seen it twice...once in NY once in LA. It wasn't *that* great of a show...I don't much like the way Disney is taking over Broadway. I only saw it for the second time in LA because we had some connections which enabled us to obtain house seats, quite a rarity. Didn't want to turn that down. It was a glitzy sets/flashy costumes/overly amplified microphones type of show. I, personally, am more attracted to a compelling plotline and innovative music/lyrics than superfluous aesthetics (Go Sondheim!). But I can imagine Chip in the lead. Maybe if he ever performs it, I'll see Aida yet again.

Yeah... I'm not a huge fan of flash. If the substance isn't there, it's not worth it. The last musical I saw was Les Mis, and it was very pretty, but the cast just wasn't there. Of couŽse, if Chip ever did go back to doing musical theatre, you can bet I'd be there to see. During high school, I used to go over to Vancouver whenever I could for the big shows. Forget Backstreet Boys concerts (Okay... at the time, it was New Kids Concerts). The first one I saw was Donny in Joseph, actually, and I was hooked.
