When the Beanie Craze hit full force, every store of every kind had them, Drugstores, Flower Stores, Card shops, Grocery Stores, Mom and Pop Stores, Specialty Toy stores and gift shops.
Though now that the craze has died down grocery and drug stores have stopped selling them as well as the mom and pop stores that hoarded the rare or discontinued ones. Then you had McDonalds with the Teenie Beanie Babies.
One of the best places to go to because the chain carries them are Hallmark Gold Crown stores. I don't know if you have Hallmark's in Austrailla, but I wouldn't see why not. Other than that, you have to scout around for stores that are Ty distributors. I think there's a website somewhere where you can find a Ty distributor in your area. Go to www.ty.com and see what you can find. You can also see what the Lemur looks like.
If you know of someone who will admit to collecting Beanie Babies ask them who their dealer was and if the store still carries them as well as still gets in the newer ones.
