I dont remember fireworks wars, but certainly remember the fireworks. The streets would be ankle deep in paper and burned out fireworks the next morning. I used to sit on my fire escape and watch the fireworks at night.

I too remember the buildings with no tiles on the floor or grass. Do you remember the fountains in the lobby, the closed circuit cameras by the intercoms. I think you could see your guests on channel 3. Was that the beginning of cable TV as we know it today?. Trying to remember kids in your building that were in my class.
