Subject: Forrest String Quartet in Long Beach Saturday

Mike Martt's 3rd Annual Wooten Center Christmas Benefit -

As you may know, Mike Martt has been making interesting and wonderful music for many years, and has remained a positive force for music in Long Beach. From his days in the Low & Sweet Orchestra to supporting artists like Mojo Nixon, Mike has always brought real heart to his chops. For those of you who love Bass Guitar, hold onto your hats! DOS, featuring Mike Watt (Minutmen, fIREHOSE), Kira (Black Flag, fIREHOSE), and special guest FLEA (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Big Audio Dynamite). This, alone, is worth the $10 admission

but, wait, there's more! Peter Case of the Plimsouls will be performing, as will the Bob Forest String Quartet(Thelonious Monster, Bicycle Thief) and local favorite Kern Richards. If that weren't enough, there wll be a big screen video tribute to the music of John Lennon. Saturday, December 20th @ 8:30 PM, $10 Admission @ diPiazza's Restaurant & Lounge, 5205 East PCH (at Anaheim Street) Come early if you want a seat! All proceeds will go to the Wooten Heritage Center:
