yeah i actually made it out to the show. when i first walked into the viper room stage area, there were various weird chairs, bean bag chairs, and candles everywhere. it was quite a different setting than normal. the night began with the screening of the 2 frusciante "documentaries", they were actually more like music videos, than documentaries, as they were both pretty much lacking any dialogue, and just had john's words and music playing throughout. the first one was directed by johnny depp and gibby haynes( i think from 93), and the second one was by by toni(who is also part of the maravich string quartet) i think she said it was originally started in 91, but only just recently finished. both were good, and pretty artsy(yeah thats right, i said artsy).

after the john stuff, bob and the maravich string quartet came and played, but without the cello player(is she not an actual member of the band)? and no drums. they played over a french film, that was playing in the background. it still sounded good, even without the cello, but not as good. it was pretty much the same setlist as the knitting factory show i posted about. then bob, brought out his son, to play with the band, while bob went into the audience to watch. they played some "post rock" like music, but with a lot of acoustic instruements, probably not a very good description. they played like 3 songs(more like jams, than songs, i think songs, consist of lyrics, right?) over some visuals on the screen.
it was pretty good, bob's son plays pretty well.
then bob came back, and played 'cereal song' with the band and his son, its always nice to hear any songs from 'you come and go'... and i hope he continues to play stuff from that album. i left shortly after their set, but the club was about to start the movie 'Brazil' as i left. all in all, it was a good night, i hope some of you got to see it.

i probably got some stuff wrong, im not exactly the best reviewer.

hey exaviour, there will be more shows, dont worry.
