Subject: This will probably sound like it is coming from out of nowhere

This is in reference to the terrorist attacks last week and the aftermath so far:

I keep thinking about "Rome fell from within". That line has always struck a cord with me. I just keep thinking about it now, and how hopefully, with some good coming out of bad, that maybe these attacks can serve as a wake up call for America. But God, I do not want to get into any political debate with anyone over this, ok?

I don't know that the line itself is comforting, but the idea that others sense where the US could end up, is. I think I just wanted to express my feelings that Bob really hit the nail on the head. It also gives me hope that maybe we haven't gone too far over the edge.
