A soft laugh slips from her lips before she is able to stifle the tone as she looks to the rags she is wearing. Had she anything nice to wear? She had a burgundy dress that was given to her by a man whose name she hadn�t learned. Her gaze shifts back to the boy who had taken to skimming his mothers� closet and she speaks softly �It doesn�t make sense to clean in nice clothes. They would only get ruined.� She hadn�t answered his question directly on purpose, she assumed he wouldn�t understand the concept of not having money or gold to buy something. And, after all, how could he understand something he had never experienced.
