Now that you have sent in your application, relog into the site using the username and password that you entered on your application. You will then be directed to a page which will outline for you the next steps to take in order to become a member.
On that page, you will find contact information for members of the Guard (including email and ICQ information). You will need to meet with a guard for an interview in order to gain admittance to our guild. I won't go into further detail here, as all of that information is on the page I referred to earlier.
As far as your email address, you do have to have a current paid isp address in order to join. Once you have become a member, however, you are free to list a different email address on our guild roster.
