Date Posted: 08:00:16 06/15/04 Tue Having had the pleasure to hear the Wormwood's debut E.P. in its completed iteration, I have to say with all my plebian might, "It rocks." And I don't say this lightly, though I do say it often. Having been raised as I was in the upper midwest during the eighties and nineties, I come to find myself saying, "My, that almond braised half of duck rocked almost as much as the aged white wine and the pristine lemon tart in which we indulged thereafter. Charn." But Wormwood's debut rocks in a different, less sinister, more real way. Let me say that I fully expect the album to be played from coast to coast with the growling, sneering, angry movement required from post-Wagnerian, pre hip-hop true-Jive. We call it metal, but some people call it progressive rock. This might also describe my politics, or it would if I had any. When this album comes out, be sure to get yourself and all your co-conspirators a copy. Enjoy it with a good white. Because it rocks like that.
