Uhm...Ned...Monday? Isn't Dick being sworn in Sunday at 11 a.m. according to the newspapers? Are the others not being sworn in until Monday? You have me confused now...

I noticed, perhaps it was an oversight or maybe deliberate, who knows...that the new city administration set their swearing in for 11 a.m. Sunday. The SAME time as David Harrison's swearing in for Sheriff. Hmmm...that doesn't look good when the Sheriff's swearing in had been set for a while now.

Sorry - I got bad information.

It seemed to make sense that the ceremony would be held on a normal business day rather than on a Sunday - but that goes to show what I know.

At any rate, the swearing in has now taken place and Hudson has a new Administration in place. Appointments to various service jobs have been announced. How do you feel about them? Any objections to Rev. Grant as Police Commissioner? How about Jeff Yates for Fire? Mike O'Hara as Public Works?

These seem like good choices to me- and pretty non-partisan. Wasn't the Reverend a Scaleranetti supporter? But Tracy appointed him anyway, because he believes it's for the good of the City. That seems pretty fair-minded and non-partisan - a new departure for Hudson politics.

Does anyone know anyone who smokes a HUGE cigar while driving and parks near city hall in Hudson? I know it's an ambiguous question, but this guy is a DANGEROUS parker. Talk about speed. I didn't think you could speed while parking. He pulled up, NO blinker, stopped, threw it in reverse and ZOOMED into a spot. Nearly took off my bumper because he didn't use his blinker and I had NO idea he was going to parallel park. It was dangerous and it was something I see happen too often. I wish Hudson PD would see these things and spend less time with meter lady...
