I see you found it convenient to DELETE ideas and opinions that do not conform to your intelectual standards:):)I copied my remarks and e-mailed them to my e-mail contacts and I purposely did not forward you same since I had posted it on your board.By the way I see someone was arrested near the Diamond Street Park on Colunbia Street between 2nd and 3rd streets perpatuating the Red Light Districts illustrious past while the City and private developer on Willard Place go at it in law suits at tax payers expanse.
Mobile home park developer to ceate affordable housing in Coxackie with a $400.00 dollar monthly pad and $1000.00 a month morgage for the techies who'll be taking over the Hudson River Valley jobs and red ink budgets.Tom Koulos

...that message was pulled.

I am happy to have a dialogue here about funding for things like Winter Walk (a mere few thousand dollars that creates great interest in Hudson and generates civic pride as well as thousands of dollars in store receipts - and sales taxes - restaurant bills and other ancillary earnings).

I am also interested in talking about funding for such things as the Boondoggle Hose Company Building ($4 Million and counting that will destroy the volunteer fire system here in Hudson and lead to an expensive paid fire department within a few years, as well as requiring tens of thousands of dollars a year in operating and maintenance costs funded on a continuing basis by the taxpayers).

But as I've told you many times, I won't put up with irrelevant, mean-spirited and insulting asides, like yours in that post about Sam Pratt. I wouldn't put up with anyone's similar slurs about you either.

You made this post largely without including gratutious insults or nastiness, so I know you can do it. I expect you to - if you want to have your posts appear.

If you imagine the the "techies" of Tech Valley will have any interest in living in a single-wide in Coxackie (however cheap) I think you are dreaming. However, such development will provide a place of some sort for those who are being driven out of Hudson thanks to more than ten years of inaction on affordable housing - and it's still going on! Without good urban planning, Hudson is devolving into t city of the rich and those who live in substandard housing so bad that the Speculators aren't (yet) ready to try to make a profit out of it.

Ned,Read today's Times Union story on the proposed mobile home park developers proposal to provide affordable housing and tell me how many people you know here abouts that can afford the $1400.00 plus monthly price tag??The lack of Comrprehesive planning by the so called experts and their Planning Boards will have them at their mercy for not establishing realistic priorities that will have to be paid for by those working in the Hudson Valley.
If you want to shield Sam Pratt and the others who you assume to be the visioneries by overlooking the consequences of their actions and the ramifications that have ensued with out holding them accountable for their utterances keep on deleting my sentiments.
I haven't seen any of their responces to the postings that are on your board and others.
I have heard Tim Shook wants to run for Supervisor in Greenport where the political Parties have been caught with their pants down trying to get peolple to run for PUBLIC OFFICE.I'm waiting to read the renderings of the HCSD Board and the Leadership of the community on one of the priorities that has been taken for granted that has the poor pited against the rich, etc.as they try to justify an institution having lost its mission with all the tantacles they have created in serving the chilrens needs to learn to write, read and put math in their minds in dealing with their human counterparts.
What stratagies they have concieved to meet the challanges they face has us all in suspence:):)
Perhaps Sam Pratt and his nimby Planners will offer some some positive input to problem that affects all in may ways.
