Your graphic penatrating interviews and Photos by Michael P. Farrell should be an eye opener for your readers and those experts that claim to Plan for our present and future generations.
Your observing Editor and you in revealing the shanty world may see a transformation in the area with the City and health Department placing Portable toilets and bottled water in the area thus protecting the health and welfare of those who have been living under the present conditions. With some creative imagination and cooperation it may become a Tourist destination for the Arts and Winter walks that could help defray the outlays for services rendered.
Sincerely Yours

Tom, I think we ought to contact Mary H and have these shanties put on the Historic Register seeing they are part of our history like the other old buildings in Hudson. That way no one can touch them amd we can preserve a part of the Hudson's past. What a tourist attraction they would make where the tourist could hoist a few brewskies with the locals and be a part of living history with tales to tell their future generations. In fact they could charge admission just like Olana. What a boon to our area if it is managed right.
