How much was dished out and to whom and why is it not of public interest? Is this another case of extortion to get worthwhile projects passed?

When no public money is involved, the public has no more right to know than they have the right to know what you earn in a year. The better question is why a certain city official doesn't feel he have to abide by the confidentiality agreement he signed. What other confidential information does he tell his friends?
