Listening to the varrious speakers making their eloquent demands and accusations with no one adding up the tally put all those present and incognito on the damned if you do and damned if you don't list.:):)
Now that they are finding out what it's like to raise money for all the services they demand and feel entitled to little thought is given to the kinds of impacts they are creating for each other to obtain their special interests goals.
As you know money doesn't come pouring down from heaven to fulfill good intentions in any community strapped with with all kinds of challanges with everyone wanting a piece of the pie.
On their way to the Board's meeting they encountered one of the many challanges seeing and slowing down for the temporary job to line the aging water pipes with a sealer that they will have to pay for along with all the other requests that they take for granted.
I did not stay for the interviews that followed the meeting as the press went to work to get their stories with the red ink swirling around them all.
I had to laugh when a represantative of the Hudson area library took issue with my writen remarks to the Board and those present in defending their plight to raise millions to restore their building which she stated was not condemned:)I'll be waiting to see what they'll come up with when they have to clean up the asbestos etc.that has been reported to be overcome etc.
