Description:
The Hudson Register-Star Editorial Department is seeking a full-time crime and courts reporter to cover all aspects of the criminal justice system in Columbia County. Duties will also include covering day-to-day activities and breaking stories involving police, fire and rescue services. The reporter will also be asked to develop beat-related feature stories and handle some additional general assignment duties. The Register-Star is a 7-day a.m. newspaper located in a charming bucolic county two hours north of New York City and less than an hour from Albany and Pittsfield (MA). Only candidates from New York will be considered. Excellent benefit package includes health, dental, life, vacation and plan.
