Date Posted: 22:24:00 09/16/03 Tue Pat, I'm not sure what is like in the suburbs but in the city we are bombarded for charitable donations each and every time we enter a checkout lane at any store. For breast cancer, prostate cancer, juvienelle diabetes, MS, the list goes on and on, but never once for childhood cancer. I wonder if there might be someway to have a corp set aside a month to recruit funds for CNCF. At the very least each and every person that walks into those stores will have the notion of childhood cancer set into their minds and possibly some money could be raised. In my most humble opinion I think this country is in denial, people need to face the reality that cancer does afflict children and it does not discriminate. Anyway if you ever need any help with anything let me know, we are on the far NW side of Chicago--Harlem and Touhy area to be exact.
