Date Posted: 04:28:00 09/17/03 Wed Hi everyone, I (like Pat) have a non-profit 501(c)(3) charity set up for children and families facing childhood cancer. I would like to see everyone concentrate their efforts to make a difference. We currently donate about a third of the unrestricted funds we collect to research for any type of childhood cancer, unless it is given to us for that specific purpose. We have found that it is very difficult to collect donations for research and to support the families of childhood cancer (two of our programs we offer). People mainly just want to donate to our Bravest Kid program (similar to make-a-wish). I guess that's why they are so successful. I'm open to suggestions of how I can help get this energy moving in the right direction. And my foundation is willing to aid in the effort.
