INT – RJ’S HOUSE – NIGHT
Giles, Dawn and RJ enter as Hank leaves via the front door, RJ runs over to his Mother who is shaking in the corner, Giles and Dawn follow Hank
DAWN
Giles get in the car
GILES
You can’t drive!
DAWN
I don’t care!
Dawn reaches into RJ’s pocket (she’s wearing his jacket) and takes out his car keys
They climb into the car and Dawn starts the engine
DAWN
Buckle up
CUT TO.
INT – SCHOOL – NIGHT
WILLOW
Um…Hey girls, fancy letting us, you know, leave?
(beat)
Oh god…it’s you
AMANDA
You ruined our lives!
RONA
You killed us all!
WILLOW
No…I…it wasn’t me
AMANDA
You gave us the power. Gave us the faith. We believed we could win but the false belief lead us to our deaths!
RONA
You betrayed the line! This was not our destiny!
ROBIN
Willow what is this?
WILLOW
Pissed off slayer zombies – not a good thing
(to the slayers)
This isn’t how it was meant to happen, we had no idea Glory would go after you
RONA
We died long before her! They all came after us! She has killed just a handful in the past weeks!
WILLOW

AMANDA

INT – HUT – NIGHT
Buffy is sat alone in the hut, holding hands with Kendra, meditating

FRED
We can’t, even for a slayer it’s not safe to double dose, it could lead to a coma
BUFFY

Fred gives a half small before hastily rushing out of the lab leaving an angsty Buffy and a nervous Harmony
HARMONY

EXT – SCHOOL – NIGHT
Tara and Spike arrive, they’re kept away by the mist
TARA
W-Willow! She’s in there!
SPIKE
How do you know?
TARA
S-she had to work late
SPIKE
Can’t you work your mojo to break past?
TARA
I don’t know, I haven’t done anything since Buffy’s birthday two years ago
SPIKE
No time like the present to pick up old habits

INT – CAR – NIGHT
Giles is being tossed around the car as Dawn, the not so champion driver, skids all over the road in an attempt to catch up to a speeding Hank
GILES
Dawn, slow down!
DAWN
No! He needs telling, once and for all
Hank picks up speed and cuts down a side road
Hanks car skids round to a stop, Dawn slams her foots down on the break, she gives a grin much like the one we saw in ‘The Darkness’
DAWN
Stay here
GILES
I most certainly will not

INT – SCHOOL – NIGHT
Willow and Robin continue running as the dead slayers chase them
WILLOW
You owe me forever off work for this!
ROBIN
It’s not my fault!
WILLOW
Buffy told me you put that Talisman in the bathroom last year!
ROBIN
Well I didn’t do this!
CUT TO.
EXT – SCHOOL – NIGHT
SPIKE
Couples of years ago I’d probably smack you round the head so you couldn’t help but…come on! There are people in there!
TARA
I-I’m trying
Tara closes her eyes and holds the hands to the barrier, Inside, Willow suddenly stops
ROBIN
What is it?
WILLOW
(smiling)
Tara
Willow closes her eyes, her hair goes white and light surrounds her – outside, Tara gasps as her eyes draw open and light drowns her
SPIKE
That’s new
The green around the school folds back and rushes towards Tara, fading into the light as the slayers begins to walk away
AMANDA
It’s not over
RONA
Never will be
The girls continue to walk until they fade away
ROBIN
That was…
Tara runs through the doors and grabs Willow, kissing her repeatedly
WILLOW
Tara, Tara it’s okay, I’m okay
TARA
I was so scared…I thought you…
WILLOW
I’ll never leave you
SPIKE
Women
ROBIN
Uh huh
Both stare in fascination as the two continue to kiss
CUT TO.
EXT – WOODS – NIGHT
Hank gets out of the car as Dawn approaches him
DAWN
What did you do to her?
HANK
Dawn calm down
DAWN
What did you do?
Giles looks in concern as Dawn gets closer, louder and more aggressive
DAWN
Did you hit her?
HANK
Honey…
DAWN
Don’t call me that
GILES
Dawn!
Giles looks up, mystified as snow begins to pour wildly from the sky
CUT TO.
INT – XANDERS APARTMENT – NIGHT
Andrew is staring out of the window, bemused
ANDREW
It’s snowing
NANCY
Yeah right
Xander ignores Nancy
XANDER
No it is…a lot, in California in February
ANDREW
Does this mean the worlds about to end?
EXT – SCHOOL – NIGHT
WILLOW
Probably
ROBIN
Oh goody

EXT – WOODS – NIGHT
GILES
Dawn calm down, your energy – the key, it’s not under control
DAWN
I don’t care
GILES
Dawn it’s a part of you, linked to every part of you body and emotions…you need to calm down
HANK
Listen to what he says Dawnie
DAWN
Don’t ever call me Dawnie!
Her voice echoes as Hank lifts from the sky and rocket’s backwards to the edge of the hill, tumbling down on the wet mud as the wind picks up – Dawn stands screaming wildly at nothing, her eyes completely phased out until Giles tackles her down
DAWN
G-Giles…what’s…where am I?
Giles holds Dawn still, stroking her hair, not wanting to upset her but fearing the worst
END OF PART THREE
INT – WOLFRAM AND HART – NIGHT
BUFFY
So what is it? What can you tell me?
FRED
Well…Glory has been killing slayers, you’re linked to all of them through the spell and them to you. She’s killed maybe a half dozen in the past fortnight – that’s all though
BUFFY
But it’s been happening for months
FRED
That’s the complicated part
BUFFY

HARMONY
You’re killing the girls
BUFFY

FRED
It’s not that simple – the spell Willow did, it went through you. It’s linked you to every slayer that lives, but, every slayer that didn’t live – the old slayers, the dare I say obedient ones, they believed their destiny they accepted what the slayer is
BUFFY

One girl in all the world. It may not seem fair but it’s the way it was meant to be and the way it has been for lifetimes, hundreds of lifetimes and you’ve changed it so
HARMONY
God Fred bounce around the bush much?
BUFFY

HARMONY
Whatever. What’ she’s trying to say is you messed up and now all the old slayers are wiping out all the new ones until there’s just one slayer left in line that means Faith because you’re not in the line, got it!
Buffy turns to Fred
FRED
That’s what it is
BUFFY
So I’m killing these girls?
CUT TO.
EXT – WOODS – LATER AT NIGHT
Giles pats down ground with a shovel as he wipes sweat from his brow
GILES (V.O)
I’ll do anything to protect my girls
