JB's idea that all men "need slaves" seems to counter what he is saying on pages 131-2. On these pages I thought he was saying that it is better to be a slave than to have the freedom of choice. Maybe in these two passages "slavery refers to,one, human slavery and two, the lack of choice for man. I guess I just posed another question rather than answering one.
