I have a 5 year old female peke that I got when she was 10 weeks old. She had her 1st heat when she was about a year old and had one every 6 months after (December and June) until a year ago. I got a male peke while she was in heat but she didn't want anything to do with him at the time. That was the last time she went into heat. I found them locked up twice in one day about 4 months ago, but she wasn't in heat (at least I don't think so because her heats have always been very heavy and I never noticed any blood). Why has she not gone into heat since I got the male? Please help me. I'm starting to worry that my baby girl may have some kind of serious problem and I can't afford to take her to the vet right now.
