ICQ brought many of us even closer.
I don't think it killed the first generation chatter.
Then again, i started chatting Feb 97 and had ICQ by June.

The user list, right click, open private dialog killed the second generation chatter.

The new generation chatter doesn't chat in the room anymore.
The days of large group discussions are gone except for the times when some of oldies come in and joke around. The new folks must think we're nuts.
