Subject: Airing my dirty laundry in public (I don't care anymore)

Right, thanks for giving me air space. It's just that my friends and family are automatically on my side in all of this and just want some clear thoughts from someone else. You don't have to or anything though.

I have a wonderful 2 year old little boy. I stay at home to look after him 'cos I'm too sick to work and be in a fit state when I get home. (It was either my job or my boy, naturally I chose my son.) I'm on benefits - my baby's dad works full time (and earns what's considered to be an average wage.) I pay our local authority tax bill, for our water, our gas, electricity, the food we eat and my son's clothes. His dad has forbidden me from making 'phone calls (he pays that bill at least) 'cos I spent too much (£2.72 for a month - that's around $1.50 in US money). Is it unreasonable of me to be upset and annoyed about this? I'm not a mean person - I never gave a thought to what I was paying out but it rankles at me that I've been ordered to not use the 'phone over such a little amount when I'm practically penniless and am paying for so much.

I've got to leave right? 'Cos he's always saying my nose is too big, my hair is too long and should be darker than my natural red and that I'm too skinny and too short.

Our son scalded himself when his dad was watching him (well, actually he was reading a letter) and accidents happen. I'm not saying, and have never said, that I would have stopped him in time. But his dad's first reaction was to blame me for making the tea in the first place. I mean he didn't seem that concerned about getting our son under cold water or even ask how he was when I'd done that.

There's a knicker-meltingly gorgeous man who is nice, funny and even likes my son. He asked me out. Do you blame me for saying "yes"?

If you've got as far as this thank you. If you just skipped over (and I don't blame you) have a nice day/week/month/year.
